Computer Operator (1 year contract) - Location - AIA Alexandra
As a member of the Data Center Operation team, you will need to perform 24-hour Computer Room Operations. You are responsible to perform scheduled and ad-hoc production jobs for all systems to ensure online availability to users. Other responsibilities include:
Monitor and control multiple systems
Monitor and control automated operations alerts. Report and escalate operational problems
Process scheduled batch job resolution, restart of batch job abends and basic troubleshooting of event errors
Daily systems operations for all Open System platforms, basic server administration and problem solving
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Pre-requisites:
GCE 'A' Level or 'O' Level
Familiar with MVS and job scheduler with at least 2 years of practical experience
Basic operating skill on AS400/ Win / UNIX platform. Able to communicate (written & verbal) effectively
Willingness and ability to learn new operating systems
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
